Nucco was appointed by Innovate UK to support the organisation in reaching out to a wider target audience through their digital marketing strategy. Innovate UK is the UK’s Innovation Agency, they fund and support science and technology innovations that will grow the UK economy.


The main task involved rebranding their YouTube Channel while producing new video series formats to share across their social media platforms Using our knowledge of branding and video, our team developed different extensions of the Innovate UK brand, each with a distinct visual style. These included animated guidelines, format structure creation and visual designs that have been used by all Innovate UK’s content service providers to generate consistent productions for online content.

Results
The rebranded Youtube channel and video series resulted in an increase of 650% in subscribers on the Innovate UK Youtube channel over 18 months. Further, content views increased by 875%, with the highest viewed video a whopping 3411% more than the previously most popular video. Lastly, and importantly, the campaign started a conversation within the industry. It saw 125 media placements - a real victory for engaging with Innovate UK's target audience.

360 Video Adaptation

Based on the same concept as the original ‘Future Predictions’ YouTube series, our team created a 360 animated video projected inside a dome at Innovate UK’s 2017 trade show at the NEC. The aim of this video was to help Innovate UK engage with its industry partners and the general public on the subject of technological innovation at the tradeshow.

Projected inside an Igloo dome, the video launched Innovate UK’s Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund, a new government initiative that aims to bring together the UK’s world-leading research with business to meet the major industrial and societal challenges of our time. Future Predictions 360, won gold at the Indigo Design Awards in the mix media / moving image category.
