The Role

We’re looking for a finance manager to take responsibility for all aspects of Nucco’s finances - Including the preparation of monthly management accounts and management Information, transaction processing, process improvement and financial control. We also want the finance manager to work with the leadership team to improve the profitability of the business.

You will report to the MD UK, and work alongside the Production Partner, who is responsible for all aspects of project delivery including project profitability. The role works closely with the UNIT9 Group Finance team. You will have a dotted line to UNIT9’s Group Financial Controller and will be responsible for reporting in line with group requirements.


What you’ll do day to day

  • Production of timely and reliable management accounts on a monthly basis

  • Production of insightful management information, including analysis, variance reporting, and KPI dashboards

  • Manage annual budgets, cash-flow forecasts & in year forecasts highlighting risks/opportunities

  • Transaction processing including accounts receivable, accounts payable, expenses, payroll and intercompany reporting

  • Ensure all financial processes and controls are properly followed

  • Oversee preparation of the quarterly VAT returns & all other compliance deliverables, including tax & audit

  • Audit and tax preparatory work

  • Business partnering

  • Overall responsibility for the finance system (Paprika) including all administration responsibilities

  • Implementation of group strategic changes

  • Support business modelling and risk assessment

  • Undertake research into pricing, competitors and factors affecting performance

  • External relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, suppliers, bankers and statutory organisations such as HM Revenue Customs

  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities

  • Ensure the business meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues.

  • Coordinate with UNIT9 Group companies as required

Skills and abilities you’ll need

  • CIMA or equivalent recognised accountancy qualification with 2-5+ years post qualification experience

  • Experience of agency business operations

  • Excellent communicator

  • Exemplary reliability and quality, close attention to detail

  • Proficient in Excel, Sage, experience of Paprika is a benefit

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and numerical abilities

  • Natural problem-solver

  • Looking to learn in the role and develop skills and experience

Background experience we are looking for

  • Agency experience of running finance or supporting finance in a small or medium sized creative services business

  • Experience of setting up processes / company policies relating to finance

  • Experience of working with senior agency stakeholders and managing upwards

  • Proven history of excellent performance and results

Reward

  • Base salary of £40-60k per annum TBA depending on experience

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an experienced Account Director able to own key client accounts at Nucco. Reporting to the MD, you will be responsible for all aspects of assigned client relationships.
As a respected client services lead, you’ll already play an AD role at an established or up-and-coming agency. You’ll be ready to take the opportunity to help grow and shape our client services team around a clear brief to retain and grow our clients into long-term valuable relationships.
We hope your experience will help evolve our approach as we focus on being a valued partner to our clients. You will work alongside the Head of Production, the Head of Creative and the BD team to support pitches and deliver award-winning work. You’ll be comfortable thinking on your feet as you represent Nucco to some of the world’s leading brands while keeping the agency, and your team focussed on valued client relationships.

What you’ll do day to day

  • Be accountable for assigned client revenue targets, growth and profitability

  • Create great client relationships

  • Develop strong and proactive relationships with clients to ensure that expectations in terms of service and results are met and/or exceeded

  • Manage key accounts/senior relationships directly

  • Attend ad-hoc meetings with senior clients as required, including quarterly reviews

  • Encourage Nucco to work towards an optimum client experience

  • Encourage a persistent focus on clients in all actions Nucco takes

  • Keep client strategy decisions in line with the agency’s vision and strategy

  • Improve client services ways of working and process

  • Ensure targets, forecasts and development objectives are set for your clients

  • Support on collaboration / workflow issues between departments.

  • Lead the cross and upsell process for your clients

Interactive Producer

What we’re looking for

Nucco is currently seeking an exceptional Interactive Freelance Producer to join our team and produce some of our groundbreaking innovative experiences for the next few months.

As a Nucco Interactive Producer you will lead your project teams by example, taking ownership for the creation and delivery of successful digital and experiential projects.

You will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of your projects, from pitches into production, through to high-fives for a job well done.

You will use your experience to help shape and de-risk your projects and guide your team to reach Nucco's standards on quality and craft focusing on a 20% profit margin.

You will be a primary point of contact for Clients on productions and work closely with the Business Development team to foster both long term relationships and new opportunities.


What you’ll do day to day

  • Leading the Client relationship; ensuring the work meets the Client's objectives and the Client is happy with the working relationship. The Interactive Producer represents both the interests of the Client, the project team and the company.

  • Securing financial and contractual project sign-off (SOW, CO'S and T&C's)

  • Agreeing payment terms and schedules with the Client (and with Nucco Brain's financial team)

  • Generating & maintaining individual project budgets and schedules

  • Building teams, booking resources and helping with resourcing team members whenever necessary

  • Ensuring that all objectives/deliverables of the project are met within budget, agreed timeline and highest standards of quality

  • Closely monitor project progress against agreed scope of work - this includes:

    • Tracking workflow

    • Tracking crew utilisation

    • Tracking versioning

    • Tracking client feedback

  • Hold regular standups with each project team and arrange milestone meetings with senior staff (AM/EP)

  • Serving as the main point of coordination and contact between the day-to-day production team and the project's senior/management staff (AM/EP)

  • Anticipating and mitigating delays, risks, budgetary implications or other shortfalls and communicating issues to AM or EP as necessary

  • Managing any project related escalations

  • Preparation of project plans, estimates and schedules

  • Risk Assessment; the evaluation and mitigation of project risk throughout the production cycle

  • Pushing the team to reach Nucco standards on craft and quality

  • Ensuring the team follows the Nucco production process

  • Supervising project closure to ensure delivery is on time and budget and with quality

  • Creating a positive team spirit/resolve any conflicts among production team members

 

Skills and abilities you’ll need

  • Are well-versed in interactive production best practices and have proven success in managing creative and technical processes

  • Have excellent client management skills

  • Have expertise of Interactive Production Methodologies

  • Are experienced in building teams for varied project types; using both internal resources and a network of freelancers

  • Can ensure output is of the highest quality

  • Experience managing the development of full stack software environments spanning front end to back end

  • Communicative, flexible and precise under tight deadlines

  • This position requires at least 3+ years experience within interactive (digital/web) production

  • Are a digital expert, experienced in overseeing concurrent interactive projects with multiple work-streams and large internal and external teams

  • You are able to qualify innovative ideas with top-notch research and industry knowledge. You are a doer

  • A team player with a sense of leadership and flexible can-do attitude, you love working with creative geniuses on high-profile projects and getting the job done right
