What we’re looking for

We’re looking for an exceptional self-starter to lead new business at Nucco.

We need someone who can build on our existing pitch win rate 58%, and new business revenues of £1.5M from UK and EU. New business includes managing our lead-generation relationships, nurturing new conversations into briefs and opportunities, leading responses and pitches, and getting the best out of everyone involved in our creds and winning new business. You will be a natural networker and communicator who is curious about business and people. You will naturally be able to connect Nucco’s services to clients’ problems through value propositions.

Reporting to the MD, you will be responsible for all aspects of new business - this includes sales strategy, lead generation, proposals, RFIs/RFPs and pitching.

As a successful creative services new-business leader, you’ll already play an influential new business role at an established or up-and-coming agency. You’ll perhaps be ready to grasp the opportunity to create and build a new-business team, where at the moment you might be part of that team.

The new business role means you will work with many areas of the agency including marketing, client services, production and creative. You will also need to liaise as appropriate with your counterparts in other UNIT9 Group companies and the many partners we work with.

What you’ll do day to day

  • Be accountable for new business revenue target
  • Plan new business strategy
  • Win new business
  • Nurture opportunities
  • Manage contacts through Hubspot marketing suite including email automation
  • Liaise with lead generation partners to develop new opportunities
  • Co-ordinate new business with marketing activity to make both more effective
  • Lead pitches and new business development processes
  • Improve new business ways of working and process
  • Promote new business internally
  • Co-ordinate with UNIT9 Group as required
  • Encourage a high-performance culture

Skills and abilities you’ll need

  • Track record of winning digital communications and experiences - for example digital marcomms, content, websites, film & video communication, AR & VR
  • A strategic approach - we are in the business of solving client problems
  • Experience of structuring proposals and pitch narratives
  • Ability to translate agency services into value propositions for prospects
  • A proven ability to lead, motivate and create teams around new business activity
  • Excellent communicator and presenter
  • Google Suite expert user, particularly around creds and pitch decks
  • Close attention to detail

Background experience we are looking for

  • Senior agency-side experience of leading and winning communications and experience pitches - £50K-£1M value
  • Contract/SoW negotiation/agreement
  • Experience of setting up processes
  • Experience of Hubspot (or ability to learn)
  • Experience of working with senior agency and client business stakeholders
  • Proven history of excellent performance and results

Reward

  • Base salary of £50-65k per annum depending on experience, plus a commission structure TBC
  • 3% company contribution to pension

What we're looking for

  • We’re searching for a senior digital content copywriter capable of writing for both B2B and B2C audiences with experience of the financial services, technology, professional services and education sectors. 

  • You must have a portfolio of beautiful and elegant pieces that span digital content production, interactive, animation, social and editorial content.

  • You’ll need to be very hands-on and able to deliver everything from scripts (ranging from explainer videos to documentaries) to advertising concepts and editorial content. 

  • A natural team player, you must want to work closely with our established team of creative directors, designers and out-sourced production partners. 

  • Comfortable dealing directly with clients, it’s essential that you relish the opportunity to create best-in-class work, no matter how complicated the audience messaging or business sector.

What you’ll do day-to-day

  • Write outstanding copy for both short and long scripts for every media ranging from film and animation through to immersive VR scenarios.

  • Deliver written marketing materials from client internal documents to case studies, handbooks and reports.

  • Work with the Creative Partner and Creative Directors, to continue to build the creative output and reputation of Nucco. 

  • Be accountable for the development and production of “beautifully simple” concepts and content.

  • Work with the new business team to prepare pitch-winning work that continues our current growth.

  • Work with production and account management teams to deliver world-class innovative projects on time and within budgets

  • Work directly with our in-house animation and editorial team, and outsourced production partners to ensure our creative reputation grows further.

  • Work with other elements of the multi-talented UNIT9 Group as required

  • Contribute to a high-performing creative culture throughout the business.
